This indoor school pool required a motorised cover that would fit within the constraints of the pool side and pitched roof of the pool room. The solution was to fit a low voltage in-tube motor within an 8m Light Commercial Stanchion Motorised Reel System, which complies with safety regulations. The 5mm foam Supercover measures 7 x 17.5m with a Commercial Foam Filled Leading Edge. This has a re-enforced reel end to strengthen where the tarpaulin straps are attached. The whole system is operated via a remote control with auto stop at the end of the running time and takes about 2 minutes to cover or uncover the pool. This bespoke system and cover was surveyed, manufactured and installed by Plastica from their UK based factory. This facility enables Plastica to create the best solution for each individuals requirements.
