Dr Ant Shepherd, associate professor in clinical exercise physiology 

Ant’s research career focuses on using novel interventions (for example; hot tubs, saunas and hypoxia) to improve metabolic and cardiovascular health, quality of life and physical function. Ultimately, his research revolves around patient benefit. He is also interested in understanding the pathophysiology of specific chronic diseases in order to elucidate any potential therapeutic strategies.
