Physical Activity Facilities
The sea change that is needed to tackle inactivity in both adults and children through regular exercise means that the leisure, sports and play sector is undergoing an unprecedented transformation. With this come challenges in innovation, design, development, delivery, engagement and funding of this new ‘physical landscape’. To meet this need Stable Publishing’s new Physical Activity Facilities magazine reflects this shift and the much broader scope of the sector.
The government’s new sports strategy, published last December, takes a new, broader approach removing the distinction between sport and physical activity for the first time, and setting aside specific funding to tackle inactivity. Physical Activity Facilities magazine will address the increasing importance of physical activity and facilities and the editorial scope embraces all forms of physical activity, in the public, private and education sectors.
Physical Activity Facilities magazine covers the design, build and management of play, sports, fitness, recreation and leisure facilities across the UK. Published four times a year, it will feature a mix of news, trends, developments overseas, interviews, case studies and comment covering all aspects of physical activity.
